The Dance Deck Neuf

@thedancedeck

~An intimate afternoon concert of music and contemporary dance ~

August  20th, 21st, 27th and 28th, 2022  (4:00pm-6:00pm):

- All tickets by donation! Choose from our ticket options to donate what you wish.

In 2022, The Dance Deck returns with a dedicated focus on independent creators from Vancouver - bringing together many leading voices in our artistic community. We are celebrating the beauty of connection in a program featuring music, dance, spoken word, and, for the first time on The Deck, comedy.

This venture has been and still is, a labour of love to not only support our fellow independent artists in the dance community, but also to enrich our Commercial Drive Neighbourhood with artistic endeavours, so this year, for our post-show dinner, we are partnering with Tamam, our neighbourhood restaurant to serve you their beautiful Palestinian food. We hope that you will take advantage of our cash donation bar and the opportunity to have dinner with us to meet and mingle with the artists after the show!

The Dance Deck Neuf features creators and performers:

Emily Chessa

Jon Gagnon

Ria Girard

Marisa Antoinette Gold

Scotty Hills

Marissa Wong

Kiana Jung

Sidney Chuckas

Our house, called “Casa Om,” has always been a place of regeneration and creativity, and with this in mind we have created an alternative and unique environment from which to share the arts with our community. We are Alexis Fletcher and Sylvain Senez and we are the directors, curators and producers of The Dance Deck. Both professional dance artists, we have created an intimate, outdoor performance space in the backyard of our home in Vancouver, Canada, where acclaimed performers and creators have the chance to share their work at a grassroots level. We curate programs with room for dance, spoken word, classical music, and work from local singer-songwriters.  As presenters we strive to give artists a platform where they have the freedom to experiment and share work that is meaningful to them.

Please purchase tickets online and in advance since we can only accommodate a limited audience and we would hate to turn you away at the door.

- Very limited amount of tickets sold at the door.

We thank you for purchasing tickets in advance and supporting our artists. All proceeds from the performances are given directly to the artists you see on stage.

There will be a cash bar (by donation) open and the opportunity to meet the artists after the performance.
